Happy 40th Birthday! 1977 – 2017

The Cherry Valley Public Library officially came into being in April of 1977.

1977 – Cherry Valley Public Library was established. The original location was west of Salamone’s.

1979 – The library moved across the street where the Fire Protection District Administration Office is located. If you look carefully, you can see book on the outdoor flower box.

1989 – A new library building was built at its present location.

2012 – The library building was renovated and expanded to its current 16,100 square feet.

2015 – The library’s parking lot was enlarged to accommodate 95
vehicles and a garage was added.
