Become a Board Member

The 7-member Board of Trustees of the Cherry Valley Public Library District is currently seeking a new board member due to the resignation of a trustee.  The position to be filled should be able to serve until April 2019.

A library trustee assumes an important position in the community as one who advocates for excellence in library service in the 16,008 member library district. The trustee serves without remuneration in a position of trust and public service to the citizens of the district.  Desirable skills include ability to read financial reports, business acumen, local government knowledge, PR or HR experience, general management, and/or public speaking ability. A willingness to collaborate collegially with other trustees to achieve library excellence is required.

The Board meets the 4th Tuesday of the month.  Interested persons who reside within the library district may request an application from the front desk or click here to print.  Completed applications may be submitted to the Library Director by Friday, June 30, 2017.
