Sponsor a Scarecrow Today – Spaces Are Running Out!

Get in on the fun and join us for the 13th annual Scarecrows on Parade Fundraiser. Sponsor a scarecrow frame that is ready for you to decorate and display in downtown Cherry Valley. Cost is $10 per scarecrow frame.

The optional theme for decorating is “Get Wild About Reading.” Show us your favorite jungle themed animal or wild and crazy character. Use your imagination, decorating skills, and engineering knowledge to create your scarecrow.

Scarecrow frames may be picked up during library hours through Tuesday, September 30. Scarecrow locations are assigned on a first-come basis, so don’t delay!

Decorated scarecrows should be ready to display by October 6, when voting begins. Vote for your favorite scarecrow for $1 per vote. Vote as often as you wish on the library’s website or in-person at the library. The top three vote getters will receive gift cards to area businesses and attractions.

Voting will continue throughout the month of October with winners being announced on Monday, November 3. All money raised will go toward library programming!
